(ASI), a full service Autodesk Premier Solutions Provider, was asked to sponsor and present on Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Cincinnati, OH on Thursday, June 26, 2008 for the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Summer Education Event. The single day event focused on helping business marketing professionals increase their knowledge by providing expert advice from top instructors. The focus of the SMPS BIM Educational Event was to demonstrate the opportunities that come with using BIM software to business marketing professionals. The panel of speakers for the event included representative Alan Elgersma, MAIBC, from Champlin/Haupt Architects; Jeff Johnson, owner, from Avetec; Alec Carnes, PE, LEED AP®, from Heapy Engineering; Jay Gearon, contractor, Ferguson Construction Co.; Cory Gallaugher, Business Development Manager, from Advanced Solutions; and Justin Upper, Account Manager, from Advanced Solutions. The panel of experts discussed how implementing BIM can make business projects more effective and efficient. Following the panel presentation, there was an allotted time for questions and open floor discussion. This event had a record number of 35 attendees which was the biggest attendance record for SMPS educational events held in the past few years.
